Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how GreenBar Systems ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with this website, greenbarsystems.com, our desktop finance tools (such as Clearing and the rest of the local-first suite), and GreenBar AP Pay, our payables tool currently in development.

Our desktop tools are built to keep your financial data on your own computer. By default, they process your data locally and do not send it to us. We do not operate servers that receive, store, or analyze the bank files, ledgers, or other financial records you work with in these tools. The only data that leaves your computer goes to optional connections you turn on yourself — your bank (via Plaid), your accounting system (QuickBooks or Xero), or, for teams, a sync endpoint you control — never to GreenBar.

AP Pay is in development and is being built to run on your own computer, the same way Clearing does. It is not available yet, and we do not receive invoice or vendor data for it today. We will update this Policy before it ships if anything here needs to change.

The limited information we actually receive falls into these categories:

• Waitlist sign-ups. When you join a product waitlist, we collect the email address you submit and, if you provide it, your name. We use this only to notify you about the specific tool you signed up for.
• Support correspondence. If you email support@greenbarsystems.com, we receive your message, your email address, and anything you choose to attach. We use this only to respond to you.
• Basic website logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard technical request data (such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested) to serve the site and protect it from abuse.
• Aggregate site analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookie-free, and Google Analytics 4, which uses cookies, to see in aggregate how the site is used — see Section 6.

For the avoidance of doubt, we do not:

• Require an account to browse the site or to run the desktop tools.
• Receive the financial data you process inside our desktop tools, by default.
• Sell, rent, or share your personal information for valuable consideration.
• Use advertising networks or sell your data to advertisers.

We use the limited information above only to:

• Notify you about a tool you joined the waitlist for.
• Respond to your support requests.
• Operate, secure, and improve the website, including through aggregate analytics (see Section 6).
• Comply with legal obligations.

This site does not use advertising cookies, and we do not track you across other websites. We do not run advertising networks, and we do not use session replay.

We use two analytics services to understand in aggregate how the site is used — for example, which pages are viewed, whether a button or link was used, whether a demo video was played, which pricing tier was viewed, how far down a page visitors scroll, and whether a waitlist form was submitted.

Vercel Web Analytics is cookie-free. That data is not tied to your name, email, or anything else that identifies you, and it is not used to build a profile of you across other sites.

Google Analytics 4 also measures pages and events on this site, and it does use cookies so it can tell one visit from another on greenbarsystems.com. We use that measurement only to understand our own site — not as an advertising network, not to follow you around the web, and not for session replay.

We use a small number of providers to operate the website and communications — for example, our hosting, email, and analytics providers. They process information only as needed to provide their service to us and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

• Waitlist emails are kept until you ask us to remove you or the relevant tool ships and the list is no longer needed.
• Support correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably necessary to resolve your issue and maintain support records.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, email support@greenbarsystems.com and we will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. You can ask to be removed from any waitlist at any time.

The website and our tools are intended for business and adult use and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the Effective Date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
